Paradoxes begin to make sense

0

To want to be free, to want to live, is not a desire which springs full-blown into being. Any sane person would want this. However, human beings who are otherwise healthy are not always sane in regard to what is most important, namely, how to live. This leads to a “dialogue of the deaf.” A person who has chosen freedom with the help of God understands but often cannot reach the minds and hearts of those who opt for slavery. These in turn have no idea of what a free soul is talking about.

In the journey from slavery to freedom our ears become progressively unstopped. We hear paradoxes that begin to make sense to us: surrender is the key to making life manageable; letting go is the way to possessing our souls; humility is the seed of glory. No wonder a slave-soul cannot understand what we are talking about. Our understanding doesn't make us better than others. It is a call to show by example what we have received.

Prayer:

I proclaim your graciousness, Lord, for you have delivered me and called me to proclaim you in my life. I want to give witness to the freedom which you have given me and would give to all.
