The maturity of human societies

0

The revelation of God is very gradual, ranging from primitive beliefs to the full message in Jesus Christ. Similarly the development of the world is very gradual. One of the marks of progress is liberation of societies. The modern world is a scene of people who are allowed to make choices about how they live. It is even slowly learning how to live in a harmony office peoples. The true maturity of human societies will come when they learn how to use all of God's gifts as he intended them to be used. We individually will “grow up” when we learn to use all of God's gifts—our natural capacity for wisdom and freedom and the light of grace. God wants to bring us all to the fullness of what we can be.

Christians are becoming more aware that grace and nature work together. That is true within ourselves and in our environment, where God has made us tenders of the Garden. We are responsible for ourselves and the world in which we live.

Prayer:

God of harmony and peace, give me peace of mind and heart. Give us peace in the world in which we live. Make me a peacemaker and a faithful tender of the Garden in which you have placed me, Lord.
